Our story
How the team came together
Chapter 1: The beginning
A license and a lot of driving
Renee got her broker license in 2009, in a slow market, and learned the region one listing appointment at a time. She kept notes on every street she worked.
Those notes became the neighborhood guides on this site.

Chapter 2: The turning point
Too many clients, too little time
By 2014 she was turning work away and did not like the way busy agents hand clients to assistants.
She started Alder Lane with one rule: the agent you meet is the agent who does the work.

Chapter 3: Two agents, one way of working
A builder joins the team
Marcus came from residential construction in 2018. He had spent eight years seeing what goes wrong behind drywall.
Buyers now get a second pair of eyes on every house, and sellers get a realistic view of what repairs cost.

Chapter 4: Today
Still small, on purpose
We work across ten towns and five counties, and we still take on only the clients the two of us can serve ourselves.
2014
The year the team started
5
Counties served
10
